June 15th 2009

8:41a.m. Morning weigh in is 182.6 So I have some catching up to do. To wrap this all up as far as the cleanse is concerned. Yesterday was my first "official" day of food. Meaning for all meals I had something besides Cylemmap or OJ. Breakfast yesterday was a smoothie with spinach, fruit, and agave. It was actually really good. Also had a tiny piece of the fruit pancakes I made the kids. Like a bite. Lunch was a 6" sub at subway. Their whole wheat multi-grain bread. Lettuce, cucumbers, onions, black olives, oil & vinegar with a little mustard and oregano. Water to drink. Dinner was sketchy at best. A family gathering for my grandparents. It was pot luck. I made a black bean salad. What I started with was a salad with romain lettuce, avacado, and dried cranberries with nominal dressing. Moved onto a bocca patty with the black bean salad I made on top. No bun. Over the next two hours nibbled at green beans (approx. 5) some almonds and cashews (approx. 10) Hawaiian Kettle chips (approx. 16 or one serving) 5 trips to the buffet to have a small corn chip which I dipped in my black bean salad. Water to drink. Should note that within 30. min of eating at the party I was ready to "cleanse" Was the first cleanse since the start of the OJ on the 12th. So was a welcomed cleanse.

The only other food I have had was the previous day on the 13th which involved watermelon, a small bowl, for lunch.

All in all I have been very pleased and empowered by the experience. Total was 27days on the actual Cleanse with Cylemmap as the only source of fuel. Two days of just OJ, one day of OJ and fruit. So 30 days without a "traditional" eating structure. Amazingly I did not die. I feel great.

Starting weight was 214.4 ending weight was 182.2 A total weight loss of 32.2 lbs in 30 days.

7:55a.m. Morning weigh in is 189 Yesterday was 189.4 So it's been .4lbs a day for the last few days in a row. I had my first dream about food last night, lol. The good news is I was eating healthy in it. I was at a bar bq with my cousins. They were all having hamburgers. Yet as I assembled mine I stated open face, there were these abnormally huge slices of cheese. I tore one slice way down and used it. Then piled on the lettuce, I never actually got to the point where I used meat at all. Don't know what it all means. But I am getting down to the end, I hope. I am commiting to 180 lbs. So 9 left to go. Then Ill start the three day process back to solid foods. Did I mention I have also started watching cooking shows, and looking up recipes online. As well as reading Savour Magazine. I hope I can exercise the same discipline when I start eating that I have by not eating. Well see.

8:52a.m. Morning weigh in is same as yesterday at 195.8 The last two days I have had a hard time drinking all 60oz. Missing it by maybe 10oz. the first day and 20oz. yesterday. I will make sure I get all 60oz. today. Sleeping schedule has been affected by family member returning from vacation to Hawaii. I do the morning post within 30min. of waking up, usually within 10min.

7:39a.m. HOORAY!! ok ok, so I know this is a cleanse and not a diet, but it was cool to see myself bellow 200lbs. It's been over two years since I've seen that. It is possible! So morning weigh in is at 199.6 I still have another week ahead of me. As of today I plan to stick to it. Funny taste in my mouth this morning. Only thing I can think of is that last night was the first time I've made out since I started. :) -Although maybe I should keep the funny taste part to myself.

7:55a.m. Morning weigh in is 200.8 Going to the zoo today with my 3rd graders class. Not hard at all to keep your regular routine. I have not been doing any intense working out. But have still gotten heart rate up daily either with martial arts form/weapon practice. And push ups, pull ups, sit ups etc. Just moving own body weight, no added resistance. And only in 5, or 10 min bursts with rest in between. So a casual work out regimen. Time for salt water.

10:34a.m. Morning weigh in is 203.2 Energy level is surprisingly good. Have not been fatigued like I thought I might. Figured I would be dragging myself around. Mornings are consistent with getting kids up and ready for school. Then an hour or so of Martial Arts practice in the yard. By then youngest is usually up. Today I made my Cylemmap with 1/4tsp. Much better. But don't know what difference it will make. Book says the Cyan is to help loosen mucus. meh.

11:12p.m. Every once in awhile I'm noticing a pain on my right side, lower abdomen region. I don't believe it's the veil of death or anything, just trying to be thorough. Should also note it's not like this is the only time in 33 years that my side hurt. Evening weight before 20oz. of smooth tea is 204.2 Ask me how you gain weight when u don't eat, go ahead ask me...... I got nothing. To make a confession I did lick the smallest amount of peanut butter off my finger after making pbj's for the kids. -oh come on, I mean it was small, like there was not enough to even register a peanut butter taste. Ok ok, good night.

12:29p.m. This morning things pretty much the same minus the cleansing part. So maybe I need to do the 32oz. of saltwater instead of 16oz. Hunger is consistent. I just answer it with a swig or four of Cylemmap secret sauce. I'm already 3/4 through today's minimum amount. Looks like I'll be making more Cylemmap today. Current weight is 206.8 If I'm not mistaken I think that's 8lbs less than when I started. And this is before the close of the third day. Easy to see why most call this a diet. I can't stress enough how not eating is not a diet. That mentality is what leads to anorexia. This is meant as a cleansing process. (Thats what my hourly mantra has become) It is apparant the comfort I derive from food. I hope to be more mature in many ways after this. Goal is still holding at 14 days. So tommorw makes 11 days left, but whos couting . 1 . 2 . 3 . 4 . 5 . 6 . . . . .

Clarifying

I noticed on the fist day I said I had bought three bottles, this is true. However that is a three day supply. What the book proposes is to Drink 6 10oz. glasses of this stuff a day, minimum. You can drink more. So the 60oz. bottle of water I just sip through the day. In the 60oz. bottle you have three lemons, which u squeeze the crap out of. 12tbs of Grade B Maple Syrup (I actually did 14), and 6/10 tsp of Cayenne Pepper. I only did 1/2 tsp so 1/10 less. I no like the heat.

May 15th 2009

7:42a.m. Slept through my alarm. Have not done that in a long time. Noticeably more tired than normal in the morning. I think I may add 2 more tbs. of syrup to my concoction today, if I'm lucky it will help soften the spiciness. Having the salt water now. I just did 16oz. this time, half of what is recommended. I just could not get down 32oz. of water yesterday though.

8:21a.m. After 7oz. of salt water, still more to go, and the morning ritual (things are really starting to loosen up) the weigh in for this morning is 209.2

10:00p.m. Today I was thinking about food. I got Wendys for the kids. When I handed them their frostys one of them was dripping. After the hand off I looked at the ice cream on my hand for what seemed like minutes. I thought to myself, "It can't hurt to lick that off your hand." I didn't, but I wanted too. I just weighed in, 208.2 I'm going to make my tea and off to bed. Oh and I drank more than minimum today. About a 1/4 into tomorows supply, time to squeeze some more lemons.

Journal for the "Cleanse"

May 13th 2009, 11:32p.m.
-So starting the cleanse tonight looks like, as I am sipping "smooth" tea. "yikes" Gonna weigh myself, hold on .. . . .214.4 This is slightly heavier than the lightest Ive been since prednisone, which was 208.4 I achieved this while I was working regularly and eating consistently, not eating better, just consistently. -So stomach feels a little off already . . . . only four sips in . . . . me thinks it's all in my head. At this point would like to go at least 14 days and have weight drop bellow 200. Guess well c what happens.

May 14th 2009, 7:20a.m.
-Hooray! Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear guy who is sipping salt water like chicken broth. :( In the mornings all I am is hungry, so today I answered the call with 32oz. of reverse osmosis water and 2tsp of real salt. Breakfast of champions! St. Marks Hospital mug says I have 28oz. left. Damn. It does not taste bad at all. It really is not that much salt for how much water u use. . . . .But wow never realized how much water 32oz. was. Ohhh, feeling like I have to have a movement, Anybody besides me remember Young Guns II? gotta go.
7:34a.m. So not quit the "show" I was dreading. Pretty normal morning in the bathroom so far. I wanna do a weigh in, hold on . . . 213.6 that's after 8oz of salt water, u kidding me, that's all I've had, F me. Think I'm gonna start in on the lemonade.
7:41a.m. Whats gonna be the hardest is the pepper for me. I don't like nor do I enjoy hot food. So yesterday I prepared three days worth of this stuff. I found some woopty do special plastic bottles at he health food store, 6 dollar "plastic" bottles I might add. Anyways I got three 2.2 liter ones. Each bottle gets 60oz. of reverse osmosis water, (only because we already had it installed) 3 lemons, 12tbs of expensive maple syrup, and 2tsp of cayenne pepper (the lowest heat they had, and it still sucks)
10:34p.m. So happy birthday to me. Just weighed in at 211.6 So interesting loss of 3lb. almost since last night. Was not too terribly hungry today, but food was on my mind. Energy levels normal. I'm gonna have some smooth tea and slip off to sleep here I think. -I'd like to do at least 10 days for sure, but my goal is 14. Would be nice to make it through the rest of the month, that would be . . .lemme c, looks like it would be 18 days if I could make it to the end of the month. I believe it's 3 days before your eating substance again as well so that's 21 days (but not officially I guess) WOW, any of those options seem so far away at this point. Night. cleanliness is next to godliness
